Southern Halo presents their check for $25,296.31 to Friends of Children's Hospital board members.
The first Rocking for Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, MS was a huge success! Local singing group Southern Halo organized a special evening of music, entertainment by Phil Vaught, great food and a silent auction and raised more than $25,000 for Friends of Children’s Hospital. Sisters Natalia, Christina and Hannah formed Southern Halo several years ago and have taken the Mississippi Delta by storm with their talents. This was the first fundraiser for Friends of Children’s Hospital in the Delta, held at The Warehouse in Cleveland on May 18th.
Event organizers were very pleased with the large turnout and are making plans for another benefit next year. Following the fundraiser, Southern Halo visited Batson Children’s Hospital for a check presentation with Friends of Children’s Hospital and performed for patients in the children’s hospital lobby. Thank you to all the event sponsors and contributors who made this first fundraiser a huge success. Friends of Children’s Hospital is so glad to have community partners like Southern Halo who are helping to spread the word about the great things happening at Batson Children’s Hospital.
