Support the Batson Hospital and let your tag do the talking

Do you have your Friends of Children's Hospital license plate yet? If not, one of the easiest ways to show your support of the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children is by purchasing a Friends of Children's Hospital specialty license plate. The tag only costs $31 more than a regular car tag, with $24 of that going directly to support Batson Hospital. Not only does this project raise much needed funds for the Children’s Hospital - more than $158,090 since 2004 - it also is one of the easiest ways to help raise public awareness of Mississippi’s ONLY Children's Hospital.

In September 2007, Mississippi updated the style of its state license plate. Since then, anyone renewing a car tag must turn in their old one for a new one which makes it a convenient time to switch to a specialty plate. Friends recently began a statewide marketing campaign to remind supporters who are going through this renewal process how easy it is to get a Children's Hospital tag. The Omega Group donated their services to produce a TV commercial and Mix 98.7 on-air personality, E.J. Rivers, put together a public service announcement airing on The Radio People radio stations, Mix 98.7, Y101.7, US 96.3 and Jubilee 780 AM, urging citizens to get the children's hospital car tag. You can visit www. foch.org to view both of these productions showcasing Friends of Children's Hospital.
