Posted January 2009 Work begins on 2009 MiracleHome Work is underway for the 2009 Trustmark Children's Hospital MiracleHome in the subdivision of Providence in Madison. David Smith has signed on to build this year's MiracleHome and he plans to build the first "green" home for Friends of Children's Hospital. The 1870 square-foot home will have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and feature a great open floor plan and separate home office. David, a past president of the Home Builder's Association, is excited about the prospect of building the home this year and looks forward to the challenge. This will be the first MiracleHome to be certified by the National Association of Home Builder's Green Building Program as a green home. "We are glad to have David Smith with us this year and look forward to the construction of our first green home. We sold out of tickets last year and I hope to do the same this year," said Sidney Allen, MiracleHome chairman. This year, 6,000 tickets will be sold for $100 each. The giveaway will be broadcast live on WJTV in August.
