Posted February 2010 The date is set for Enchanted Evening under the Stars. We hope that you will make plans to join us August 22nd at the home of Cherry and Ted Duckworth for our gala event Enchanted Evening Under the Stars. The party draws guests into a beautiful setting where gracious hosts offer their homes as the venue for the special event. It is no different this year; Cherry and Ted Duckworth have graciously agreed to host Enchanted Evening in their beautiful home. Guests are encouraged to wear casual white attire and enjoy an evening of live music, great food by Chef Luis Bruno, and fabulous live and silent auctions. As you enter the festivities, another crowd pleaser and a wonderful way to start the evening are the fresh Bellini's served by Lynn Wentworth, food and beverage chairman. The recipe that Lynn uses comes to us straight from Harry's Bar in Venice. There are two new features at Enchanted Evening this year. The first is a $5000 cash giveaway. One hundred tickets will be sold prior to and during the party for $100 each and the winner will be announced during the party. The other special feature will be a champagne tower where glasses of champagne will be sold for $100 each. One lucky glass will contain a valuable piece of jewelry. "We are also working to create some new and exciting aspects to this year's auction," said Ellen Skrmetti, star package co-chair. Those interested in joining the Host Committee can be a part of the evening with a donation of $350. Hosts receive two tickets to the party and their names included on the invitation.
